Daily Challenges Program: Start Small

If you’re not ready to quit smoking for a whole day, sign up for the Daily Challenges program. We will send you 1 challenge each day for 7 days to help build up your quit smoking skills.

Why you should sign up:

  • You’d like to quit smoking someday, but quitting smoking for 1 day seems too hard.
  • You want to build your quit smoking skills (like managing cravings).
  • You want to understand why you smoke and why you want to quit.

What to expect:

  • After sign up, you will immediately receive a confirmation text message on your phone from 47848. Reply “YES” to finish enrollment.
  • Your first message will arrive at 9:00 a.m. the day after you enroll. If you enroll today, your first challenge comes tomorrow.
  • You will receive 1 daily challenge each day for 7 days.
  • You will receive text messages at 9:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. for 7 days.
  • This is an automated service and you may not always receive a response.

Practice Quit Program: Quitting without Committing

Quitting smoking is hard. For many people it takes several tries. Sign up for the Practice Quit program to try to quit smoking for 1, 3, or 5 days. And when you’re ready to quit smoking for good try SmokefreeTXT.

Why you should sign up:

  • You want to quit smoking, but aren’t ready to quit smoking forever.
  • You are ready to try to quit smoking for at least 1 day with our help.
  • You want to practice quitting smoking with no judgement, no failure.

What to expect:

  • Choose whether you want to quit smoking for 1, 3, or 5 days.
  • Choose the day you want to start practicing (or your Practice Quit date).
  • After sign up, you will immediately receive a confirmation text message on your phone from 47848. Reply “YES” to finish enrollment.
  • Your first message will arrive at 9:00 a.m. on the day you selected to start.
  • You will receive text messages at 9:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.
  • This is an automated service and you may not always receive a response.

On-demand support: Get extra support at any time – text “CRAVE,” “MOOD,” or “SUPPORT” to 47848. You will receive one special message.

  • Text “CRAVE” to 47848 if you need help to beat a cigarette craving.
  • Text “MOOD” to 47848 if you need an emotional boost.
